A&R factory: "It's safe to say that the Neo-Classically inspired Pop score is one of the most refined yet striking singles which we've heard this year." https://www.anrfactory.com/mared-over-again-strikingly-refined-neo-classic-pop/

Janice Long DJ, BBC Radio Wales: "Absolutely beautiful"

Siân James: All the essential ingredients for an outstanding collection are here to see: the originality of the songs; the skilful arrangements; the sincerity that pervades the whole lot; and of course, one of the most outstanding voices I've heard in a long time."

Lisa Jen, 9Bach: "Mared's voice is flawless. It can go anywhere it wants, and you trust that it'll never

let you down. I follow her on Insta and she's always singing, creating, getting lost in whatever she's doing, and she pulls you in - magic."

Lefuturewave: "Mared's music speaks volumes. Over Again deserves to be heard. It's a masterpiece." https://lefuturewave.com/2020/06/22/introducing-mared-over-again/

bio

Welsh singer-songwriter living in London, I released my bilingual pop/folk debut album with I KA Ching Records, and was awarded Welsh Album of the Year 2021. 'Y Drefn' is well received and supported by both BBC Radio Wales and Cymru DJs and I got to perform Owain Gruffudd's incredible arrangements of my tracks with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The album is a collection of nostalgic and heartfelt songs, written over the course of 7 years, packed with coming of age narrative, rooted in sincerity and a constant search for identity and strength within.

Originally from Llannefydd, North Wales, I grew up surrounded by a culture of Welsh music: folk music (cerddoriaeth werin)/ traditional music and also the Welsh popular music scene, which has supported myself and so many artists alike, to this day. This is how I met my friends and family at I KA Ching Records, and was able to release my debut album - links below for more info.

Les Misérables

Whilst also training for an MA in musical theatre performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London, I had the amazing opportunity to travel and perform at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod, Australia. This was after placing first in the 'Voice of Musical Theatre' category at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 2018.

Following my training I got my first job as an actress on the West End. From October 2018 I started rehearsing for Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre. I had such an amazing few months being in the ensemble and rehearsing for 2nd cover for the character of Eponine. When the world came to a halt and lockdown happened, I went back to Wales to be with my family and it was during this year I released my (luckily) previously recorded debut album at Stiwdio Sain in Caernarfon.

During this year I also met musician, artist, producer Nate Williams and started co-writing a fresh new soul-pop project, which is coming out soon!

I am thrilled to be back in the West End by now and here until August 2022 as part of the Les Mis Cast again.
